September 6th, 2019
(Albuquerque, New Mexico) -- Sandia Performing Arts Company presents the world premiere of Rosalie’s Magic Rocks, a tale of how life changes for an enterprising young Latina. This story of coming of age in Hispanic New Mexico, a Latino version of Tom Sawyer, is based on real-life events.
Rosalie’s Magic Rocks will be performed in the Wells Fargo Auditorium on Friday & Saturday nights from September 27 to October 6 at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, with a $2 discount for seniors, students and NHCC members. Tickets are $12 for children 12 and under.
Rosalie goes to live with her grandfather, and, misinterpreting his advice, begins selling magic rocks at her school. When she gets into trouble, her abuelo assists her in finding a solution. This story features a cast of young actors, and will delight younger, as well as adult, audiences.
