Museum Hatches New Exhibit

(Albuquerque, New Mexico) –“Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies,” is a traveling exhibit that will be coming to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science in Albuquerque. “Tiny Titans” is promoted by Silver Plume Exhibitions.

The exhibit is family-friendly and focuses on a variety of different dinosaurs and their young. It is ideal for younger children because there are a variety of interactive learning opportunities including a book nook, a dress-up area, and a dinosaur “petting zoo.”

The “Tiny Titans” exhibit features fossils from the Museum’s own collections as well as illustrations and sculptures created by many well-known forensic artists.

The Museum will have educational activities on opening day (March 14) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the public to enjoy. Visitors can learn about the differences between baby and adult dinosaurs. Children can also learn about dinosaur feathers, color a baby Bisti Beast, and create their own baby dinosaur hats.

After numerous suggestions and online voting, the Museum will also announce a name for the animatronic Bisti Beast dinosaur on the opening day of the exhibit.

The Dynatheater will debut a new movie titled “Dinosaurs of Antarctica” when “Tiny Titans” opens on March 14^th. The movie, from Giant Screen Films, focuses on prehistoric creatures thought to have inhabited Antarctic forests and swamps hundreds of millions of years ago. “Dinosaurs of Antarctica,” illustrates the changing environment and how melting Antarctic ice is revealing new dinosaur fossils.

“Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies,” will be open from March 14th through October 25^th, 2020 and is included with Museum admission. Visit nmnaturalhistory.org for more details.
