Jungjin Lee (Korean, 1961- ) Jungjin Lee represents today's generation of artists who continue to move beyond modern photography. Initially trained in ceramics and later in the darkroom, she combines various media to create photographic work outside of any historical category. Lee photographs universal elements from nature, such as water and the desert. Her life-sized details are printed on light sensitive rice paper, which are combined with further handmade papers like a collage. Her unique prints are repeated and attached to other prints like layers of filmstrip.
