Constructed to Be Photographed
The artist constructs a physical environment with real and fabricated elements to be photographed. Various art mediums
are used in hybrid forms, such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, media arts, text, and, increasingly today,
the application of digital imaging. Afterwards the original fabricated set often is destroyed. The artist reconstructs
realities and fictional dramas in the final form of the photograph, which then questions, even challenges, ideas of
veracity.
