NMMOA and CCA Presents Award Winning Film, “Feels Good Man” with Livestream Q&A

January 13th, 2021

The New Mexico Museum of Art (NMMOA) and Center for Contemporary Art (CCA), in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico, are proud to present an online screening of the documentary film “Feels Good Man” at 5:30 p.m. MST on Friday, January 29. Winner of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival Emerging Filmmaker Award, the film chronicles artist Matt Furie in his quest to reclaim his Pepe the Frog character, which became an iconic internet meme with the “alt-right” movement.

Following the screening, audience members will be allowed to submit questions during a livestream Q&A panel with the filmmakers and Matt Furie’s lead copyright lawyer. The film and panel discussion will cover artists’ rights in the age of appropriation.
