Friends of Folk Art and Museum of International Folk Art present 12th annual Folk Art Flea Saturday, May 6, 2023
March 20th, 2023
Santa Fe, NM – Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) presents the 12th annual Folk Art Flea Saturday, May 6 at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds. Admission to the event is free, and sales benefit the educational programs and exhibitions of MOFIA. Although admission is free, members of Friends of Folk Art (FOFA) enjoy early-bird admission to the Flea from 9-10 a.m. Public admission is from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
“The Folk Art Flea is such a fun shopping experience; people come back year after year. You’re sure to find a wonderful addition to your collection, your wardrobe or your home,” said Linda Duritz, co-chair of the Flea.
Each year patrons, collectors, and folk art lovers donate a broad selection of gently used textiles, clothing, ceramics, masks, wood carvings, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, and more from around the world to be sold at the Folk Art Flea. Shoppers can take home their own treasures and support MOIFA at the same time.
“Shopping the Folk Art Flea is such a great way to support the Museum of International Folk Art. In the past 11 years, sales from the Folk Art Flea have provided more than $750,000 in support to the museum,” noted Anne Vena, Co-chair of the flea.
The Flea can’t be held without the amazing donations made by generous folk art fans from around Santa Fe. There are three Flea donation days coming up: Saturday April 1, 15 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations of folk art should be brought to the rear parking lot of the Museum of International Folk Art, 706 Camino Lejo.
