Eunice Golden (American, 1927- )
Eunice Golden received an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College. Since the 1960s, the New York City native has used the human form as landscape, including the geological and ideological meanings that organic forms can express. Golden's work depicting the male nude paralleled the work of women who were investigating other areas with a growing sense of awareness: psychology, sociology, and the economic and political realm. Interested in words, and the use of words as visual images, she has combined linguistics and body-art forms in her photography and film work. Included in her many honors are two MacDowell Fellowships.
