(Santa Fe, NM) –  The free New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs 2017 Museums & Historic Sites Winter Guide is now available online at nmculture.org/guide. This year’s guide features an historic photo of the New Mexico Museum of Art on the cover in recognition of the Museum’s centennialyYear. As the storied Museum of Art launches into a second century of service to New Mexico, it hosts three new exhibitions: Horizons: People & Place in 20th Century New Mexican Art; Shifting Light: Photographic Perspectives; and Contact: Local to Global  which like the other centennial exhibitions, highlights the engagement of artists with New Mexico, the Museum of Art with artists and collectors

The 2017 Museum & Historic Site Holiday Guide delves into the blockbuster exhibition coming to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque in 2018, Da Vinci—The Genius.  Beginning February 10, 2018, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and Grande Exhibitions will present Da Vinci – The Genius, the most comprehensive exploration of Leonardo da Vinci’s work ever created, for a limited engagement in Albuquerque. The interactive experience will immerse guests in Leonardo’s timeless brilliance through full-scale interpretations of the mastermind’s inventions and unparalleled studies of his iconic art.
